The Dept. Of chemistry successfully concluded its 4 days "Chemfest 2025" with the theme "alchemy", a vibrant celebration of chemistry held from 17th Feb to 20th Feb. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.sc students who engaged in a diverse range of activities, competitions and presentations. The event was organised by Mrs. Fatima Asfia and Mr. M.A Rasheed under the guidance of Mrs. Nazia Nasir, cultural and recreational council president and Hon’ble Mrs.Tahera Farha Tabrezi, Principal. The event aimed to ignite a passion for chemistry beyond the textbooks and provided a platform for students to showcase their knowledge, creativity and practical skill. Day 1: The fest began with a focus on academic presentations. Students displayed their understanding of chemical concepts through PPT, posters. The artistic side of chemistry was also highlighted with handmade posters, second and third year students shared their independent research work, demonstrating their dedication to scientific inquiry. Day 2: Students tested their communication skills in chem elocution and their knowledge in chem quiz, a series of fun, chemistry themed games made learning enjoyable. Creative expression was encouraged through "chem origami" and "Chem reels". Day 3: Explored the practical application of chemistry." Molecular gastronomy" showcased the fascinating intersection of food and chemistry. "Chemtooning" allowed students to express chemical concepts through artistic cartoons. "Live projects"- provided a platform for students to demonstrate their hands-on- skills and present practical chemistry projects. Day 4: Prize distribution: The event was concluded with the recognition and awards to winners of the various competitions and with a vote of thanks.
