The Department of Microbiology celebrated “International Micro – Organisms Day” in an event entitled “MICROBIOME 2024” with a theme “Feed your microbes”. B.sc (Microbiology) students of I,II and III year enthusiastically participated in extensive competitions like Micro craft, Doodle Art, Model making, Best out of waste models, Research, Odyssey of mind, E – lectures, Article writing, Debate, Health Awareness, Medical Health Camp and Games. The program started on 11 th September 2024 and closing ceremony was scheduled on 21 st September 2024 with an awareness on “Chronic Kidney Diseases and its prevention” by a Guest speaker, Dr. Mohammed Shoaib Ahmed Khan, Nephrologist and Transplant physician in Telangana. Winners were awarded with prizes and certificate. B.sc (Microbiology) II and III year participated in online inter collegiate competition “MICROMANIA” organized by St. Pious Degree and PG College, Nacharam, where students stood for prizes and memento for Doodle Art, Meme Making and Poetry writing.
