On 28 th Feb 2024, National Science day was celebrated as the vibrant and most engaging celebrations by the Department of Chemistry. The event themed as “Chem – Fest – Magnite” under the supervision of Mrs. Fatima Asfia, and Mr. M.A Rasheed sir Faculty members of chemistry. The event serves a platform to showcase the fascinating world of chemistry through myriad of activities, the event comprised of 3 days from 28 th Feb to 1 st March. DAY - 1 Activities included:- Digital presentation, model and Chem – Mehendi competition where students come up with artistic ideas of chemical structures sketching. Students also presented their chemistry – related research findings in poster and PPT formats covering the trending topics of chemistry as Green chemistry, Drugs in relation to health, chemistry in everyday life etc. DAY - 2:- had so many brain boosting activities not only to encourage students to elevate the knowledge in the are of chemistry but also make learning fun and engaging by deeply delving them into JAM session, chem. Buzz, chem. Games, chemical debate and scavenger hunt. DAY - 3:- Comprised of live project where students performed interesting and striking chemical reactions and experiments not only entertain but also educate, illustrating the fundamental principles of chemistry in a captivating manner. In Talent Show many students participated to showcase their innate skills by their exhilarating work creating wall piece using elements, wall hangings, photo frame with chemical structure and its uses. Atomic model as accessory, painting T – Shirt with fundamental of chemistry, mug painting with chemical reactions etc. Students entertain the audience with mesmerizing chem – Poetry competition and chem – skit. At the end of the event, students are awarded with medals and certificates for their excellent work. The event was concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. M.A Rasheed sir. The aim of the event was to provide an invaluable opportunity for students to delve deeper into realms of chemistry beyond the confines of Textbook and class rooms.
