November 4 and 5 2022 –On the occasion of National Chemistry Week , Department of chemistry organized an awareness programme on the theme “fabulous fibres :the chemistry of fabrics” to promote the value of chemistry in everyday life under the supervision of Mrs Aliya mam HOD of chemistry Department and Ms. Zareen Shaik and Mrs Juveriya Anjum lecturer in chemistry.It was a 2 days programme.The first day of programme included competitions like poster presentations,chemical tattoo chemistry poem, essay writing on topic:Importance of chemistry in everyday life and chemical rangoli .The students showed their artistic skills in tattoo art and high level of creativity in chemical rangoli ,Day 2 programme included events like PPT presentation ,model presentation ,Quiz where students came up with innovative presentations and shows role of chemistry in fabrics and shows role of chemicals in making textiles more resistant to water stains ,wrinkles ,bacteria and mould. The students of B.Sc actively participated and demonstrated their creative talents with a array of innovative and beautiful Models/Poster/PPT ,Tattoo and rangoli etc.The principle aim of this event is to show the importance of chemistry to our quality of life .Participants were appreciated by medals and certificates.
